Are you looking for beautiful travel quotes? Putting your feelings into words while traveling is sometimes not that easy. I want with you sharing my top 10 travel quotes.
My favorite travel quotes in German
There are endless beautiful and inspirational travel quotes out there. I have compiled my top 10 for you here:
Matthew Karsten
1. An investment in travel is an investment in yourself.
The best investment we can make in our life is investing in ourselves.
2. Traveling is still the most intense way to learn.
Kevin Rely
When it comes to theoretical knowledge, my memory is sometimes like Swiss cheese. What I haven't experienced myself I can't remember nearly as well as things I've actually experienced. That's why I actually learned the most while traveling. Learned for life.
3. One day you'll wake up and you won't have time for the things you always wanted. do them now
Paulo Coelho
Nothing more to add, is there? Life is NOW because nobody knows how much time we have.
4. It always seems impossible until you've done it.
Nelson Mandela
Or as the saying goes: The first step is often half the way.
My favorite travel quotes in English
6. Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.
Ibn Battuta
This is perhaps my absolute favorite quote. At a time when everything has to happen quickly, it is primarily our stories that want to be heard and told. And nowhere do we experience and experience more stories than on our travels.
7. The world is a book, and those who don't travel read only a page.
Saint Augustine
This quote also has a special place in my heart. I can still remember how I used to imagine what the world would look like as a child. I've always dreamed of traveling to all those distant countries myself and not just getting to know one side of life.
8. Not all those who wander are lost.
J.R.R. Tolkien
An absolute classic among travel quotes, right? I can still clearly remember when I was looking for something while traveling. I now know that I would never have found it traveling and since realizing this, I travel out of pleasure and curiosity and not because I feel lost.
9. Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.
Andre Gide
Or as Einstein once put it very aptly: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
10. “Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind."
Anthony Bourdain
The other side of travel that hardly anyone talks about
Yes, there is an ugly side to travel that is unlikely to be captured in most photos. Traveling is not always easy, beautiful and comfortable. But on the contrary. When traveling we are often challenged to leave our familiar surroundings, let go and accept the situation as it is. But above all: accepting ourselves. This is sometimes more difficult than you think. But growth is sometimes painful, as I said in my article growing pains have described.
What's your favorite quote?
Nevertheless, the new experiences are all the more beautiful and make us stronger than we thought possible. You can find more beautiful quotes, for example tickets & info. What's your favorite travel quote? Please let me know in the comments. I'm looking forward to it 🙂
Very nice quotes you have collected here. The first is my favorite and I can only confirm that.
Dear Lina, your headline brings together a wonderful combination of two things that I love. I really love to travel, it's such a nice opportunity to think outside the box and broaden your horizons when you get involved with foreign cultures, unfamiliar history, unfamiliar food or habits. But I also really love quotes, I just find it amazing how so much can be expressed with just a few words. So of course I was very happy about this contribution from you and you have chosen really wonderful sentences. Ibn Battuta's quote is one of my favorite quotes, but I also really like the simple phrase "Collect moments not things" because it's just so wonderful to apply to life.
Have a wonderful evening and all the best
Lovely post Hun, these are all beautiful! x

My dear Lina, what a wonderful post, I love and collect quotes myself, because they so often reflect my very own thoughts, which is why I don't really have a favorite saying, because one day it fits better, another the next. I love the photos you chose to go along with it and your own personal words about it, just beautiful. I wish you a wonderful new week and I'm already looking forward to your next post, all my love, feel like I'm hugging you, x S.Mirli!

Kevin Relly is my favorite. Because I absolutely feel the same way! I also have to experience things practically in order to learn them and to be able to remember them. Just experience. The meaning of “knowledge” in Old German: “what I saw”. And that’s exactly how it is!!
