Always shortly after New Year's Eve I dream that it's already New Year's Day and it feels just as bad as this dream right now. Didn't we just pop corks and welcome the year 2017 with jubilation? And now it's over again in 4 days! But now it has to be done very quickly, because of course my wish list for December must not be missing. This time, however, it's a bit different 🙂 My wishes were actually granted by the dear Christ Child aka my loved ones 🙂 and that's why I'm just presenting you my presents today, which I was particularly happy about. Gift no. 1 is my current, new favorite fragrance.
At least since I did for the first time "Breakfast at Tiffany's" I associate something magical with the brand. Above all, Tiffany definitely belongs to the Christmas season for me. I first saw Tiffany's in New York around Christmas and have been in love ever since. When I heard that Tiffany's first perfume was coming out, I was already curious and when I received a tester, I immediately liked the floral, classic scent.
I can still vividly remember the day imagining myself in my flannel teddy pajamas, gliding gracefully across the ice as if I could fly, and regularly watching the World Figure Skating Championships on TV. But as you can already imagine, there was quite a balancing act between fantasy and reality. Of course, my first attempts on the ice were anything but graceful. Not much has changed since then, but I still love to slide over the ice in winter. There is just something romantic and traditional about ice skating for me! For a long time, however, I lacked the right shoes until I got them as a gift from my brother heart this year. They are just how I always wanted them to be, simple and with a vintage look. I hope that I can take them with me when I travel and that I can sled with them next year in wintery Moscow through Gorki Park or on Red Square.
Sometimes you just want to pull a blanket over your head and know nothing more about the world! Especially when the wool blanket is as big and cuddly as the currently popular chunky knit blankets to knit yourself, then the idea of staying under the blanket is suddenly quite tempting. You don't have to hide under the blanket by yourself, because it's easily enough for two 🙂 My wool hasn't arrived yet, but I'm very excited about it and hope that in this case there will be a difference between imagination (see picture) and reality won't be too big. Did I mention I can't knit? But challenge accepted 😀
The last few weeks I have the dance series "Dance Academy" downright devoured. Have I already told you how much I love ballet? In the meantime, I'm even considering starting to dance and taking lessons again. My pointe shoes are still lying around somewhere. My brother's ballet performance at the dance school came at just the right time! Ballet in winter still has something magical about it. I'm really looking forward to "La fille mal gardée" in February!
