New Year New luck! Who is still following their good intentions? For me, they are sometimes the reason why my wish list is online so late again this time (actually, it was a resolution of mine to publish the wish list at the beginning of the year 😀 ). Like probably so many others, I started making my dreams come true in January: without any excuses! Because I'm simply certain: Everyone is the architect of their own fortune! That's why I'm now in the yoga beginner's course and I'm very excited about the limits of my body and how I'll react to it.

In addition, the first trip is already certain, which I will of course report on, and another one is already being planned... and I really hope that it will come about, because that would actually be the fulfillment of a long-awaited dream! Dreams continue here as well. The right winter mood may not arise in the cold, wet, muddy weather, but you still like to make yourself comfortable at home, read books and disappear into a dream world, especially in January...today I'll take you to a counterpart to a midsummer night's dream, a sweet winter night's dream full of cuddly pillows , splendid plans, grandiose vinyl records and 100 marriage proposals...

Make yourself comfortable, get your favorite pillow and if you would like to float on cloud nine, then I might have just the right thing for you here: this fluffy, glowing (yes, you read that right!) pillow did it to me immediately ! And sooner or later it will hopefully be added to my absolute favorite pillow collection. There is, for example, "The wild boar Wildi" a cushion made of fake fur and a somewhat flat example that is really not particularly pretty but is affectionately called "Platti" and is simply comfortable!

Actually, I'm really not a fan of light entertainment and cheesy love stories. But Holly Martin just writes so amusingly that you feel like you're in the story from the first page. And it is precisely this effect, in my opinion, that makes a good novel: when written words become images, even mental cinema, then it is a good story. And I have to admit that I don't often have this feeling of completely immersing myself in the story of a book so effortlessly. Briefly on the plot of the book: Suzie and Harry are business partners and run an agency that organizes marriage proposals. Harry comes up with the idea of making Suzie a different, more and more unusual proposal every day and reporting about it in a blog. What he doesn't know: Suzie has feelings for him...Yes, I'll admit it, the names are reminiscent of Harry and Sally and the story sounds flatter than it really is, but the proposals are so romantic, funny and creative that I read them every time had to smile... That's why I can recommend this book to every romantic 🙂

It reads better in comfortable, wide knitwear. Ever since I received a handmade cardigan as a gift, I can't get enough of it. It's almost like a warm blanket to put on. My cardigan is unique, but I did some research for you and found a similar one 🙂 and if you can even knit yourself, you probably have a clear advantage here. I'd love to be able to do it too, but unfortunately when it comes to knitting and sewing, I somehow have five useless left hands and I'm happy if the sewn-on button doesn't fall off right away.

I've noticed that I haven't had a book calendar or planner for the last five years and I just write everything down on my cell phone. But somehow I missed holding something tangible in my hands and writing by hand again. I needed a book beyond the cloud. Since the appointments have been piling up a lot lately and more and more projects are pending, I really wanted a book calendar for 2018. And luckily I got one as a gift. While as a child I was not at all impressed by the "Little Prince", as an adult I saw the story with completely different and tear-filled eyes. I was so touched by this book and I recommend it to everyone to read at different times in their lives. Only then does this fascinating story unfold. Like a rose. I'm already looking forward to all the dates and plans that are already in there and the many more that will be entered bit by bit.

I'm reading Mister Frank's Fabulous Talent for Harmony and I keep forgetting the title of the book, which sounds so much more concise and interesting in English. In the original, the novel is called "The Music Shop" and already gives an idea of what it's about. Rachel Joyce knows exactly how a good story works. I immediately liked the many quirky characters in the novel. But the magic of this book is the music! It is brought to life in the language here and runs through the novel like a colorful soundtrack. I am happy to play the pieces that are just being described to get an impression for myself. Since record shops have always held a great attraction for me, because I think there is something wistful, yet at the same time happy and nostalgic about them, I am only too happy to delve into this story and disappear into England in the 80's, where I Frank, who can hear people's music and therefore knows exactly which records are the right ones for his customers. This works very well until one day he meets a mysterious young woman who he just can't figure out which piece she might like...and here we are at the beginning of a very extraordinary story about music, fears and the really big feelings.
