Slovenia
From Bled via the Soča Valley, Ljubljana to Piran, “the Tuscany of Slovenia”
No other country has ever surprised and inspired me as positively as Slovenia! I've wanted to go there for a long time, but I didn't expect that I would love to travel to Slovenia every year. What do I particularly like about Slovenia? The diversity! The distances are relatively short, as the country is not particularly large but all the more varied. There is the picturesque Lake Bled with the Church of Our Lady on Bled Island. Or the Soča Valley, a true natural paradise between the peaks of the Julian Alps. The emerald river Soča flows here and invites you to extensive hikes. Another highlight are the turquoise waterfalls Slap Virje and Slap Kozjak as well as Boka, the highest waterfall in Slovenia. Things get Mediterranean on Slovenia's glorious coastline in the historic and beautiful town of Piran.
